This is a beach mat, seen from straight above. Pale sand, a turquoise sea breaking along the top edge, and clusters of beach umbrellas in red, aqua, sunny yellow stripes, coral, sky blue and green, with striped towels, straw totes and one empty deck chair. It is a photographic print, edge to edge, with no border and no lettering, so it reads as coastal decor first and a game mat second. Summer mahjong, lake house mahjong, pool party mahjong, whatever your group calls it.

WHY THEY LOVE IT
• It looks like vacation on the table, even in February.
• Soft printed top lets the tiles glide, and the non-slip rubber backing keeps the mat in place when someone pushes a wall.
• Pale sand keeps ivory tiles and colorful racks easy to read.
• Rolls up for the beach house, the lake or a hotel table.
